FAQ: Can I use a 2,000 gallon collapsible fuel tank inside a container?

Question: I am wondering if you have a 2000 gallon collapsible fuel tank? I would like it to sit within the outer casing of a previous tank. Can any of these tanks be used for transportation purposes?

Answer: Thank you for contacting us! We do have a 2000 gallon Collapsible Fuel Tank available in the capacity that you requested. While these tanks can be easily transported when they are empty, they are not designed for transportation when they are full.

Due to the potentially harmful nature of various fueling products, collapsible tanks are also only equipped for certain types of fuels. The fuels that are capable of being stored inside one of these storage units includes the following:

• Diesel Fuel
• Jet A Fuels
• Hydrocarbons

When planning on using one of these tanks for fuel storage, we do typically require that you provide us with an MSDS (material safety data sheet). This will provide us with an appropriate amount of information regarding your product and what fabric is most compatible for this type of storage.

One of the best advantages of the collapsible fuel tank is its ability to be constructed in almost any capacity size required. This includes sizes in the 2000 gallon range. • 2,100 gallon: 12' L x 11' W x 2.1' H

Installing the collapsible fuel tank inside the casing of an older tank should not be a problem, unless the dimensions are very different.
