Gravity Water Filter - 30 gallons?

What inexpensive solution can you suggest for making a 30-gallon version of a counter top gravity water filter? Two chambers stacked, with a filter between, and hose fitting for dispensing? The filtered water does not need to be pristine, but should be potable. This seems like such a basic concept, which many people could use.
