Rainwater Harvesting Storage Tank for Basesment
(Oakland, California)
I am looking to store rainwater in a basement where the access is too small to fit larger tanks. We would need several tanks. Is a bladder tank the best option, or is there something else I don't know about? The system is in California where rain only comes in the winter, so the tanks would collapse for a period of months in the summer. What are the dimensions and costs for a 2000 gallon pillow tank? What is the design life?
The Portable Tank Group supplies both steel and portable Rainwater Harvesting Tanks and Rainwater Systems.
While the steel tanks are effective, I don't think it is best for your application. We have the perfect tank for storing in "unusable space" like a basement.
Collapsible Pillow Tank would be ideal. It comes with a wide variety of sizes and capacities, helping you find the one that will best fit in your storage area.
The pillow tank is also ideal to store in "wasted space" areas. It can easily be installed under a deck or porch, in a crawl space, or even basements.
The life of a tank is related to the material it is manufactured from and the contents that are stored in it, in addition to how the tank is handled and cared for. Using a ground cloth can protect your tank from abrasion and tear.
