Water Bags

I'm from India and I would like to inquire about your portable water bags. Can we use these tanks for storing drinking water? I need a tank for 250 liters (approx. 66 gallons) that is no larger than 3 feet wide x 3.5 feet long. We are making a light weight drinking water dispenser. Also, are your tanks insulated? Can they preserve the water temperature? Finally, how can we disinfect the tank/clean the tanks for our periodic maintenance and do you have any dealers here in India?

Hello to you in India! Thanks for your inquiry. I would be happy to answer your questions! Our water bags are manufactured with NSF 61 and FDA (Food and Drug Administration) compliant fabrics to store potable water. Water can be stored for up to five (5) years making it a perfect addition to supplies for first responders, natural disaster preparedness, or remote storage. Food grade liquids and diesel can also be stored in the Handi Bags. For these applications an MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheet).

The standard size is 12" Wide x 17" Long x 1" Thick (empty) and 12" Wide x 10" Long x 12" High (filled). It has a capacity of 15 liters (4 gallons). We can, however, manufacture the bag in any size needed to suit your project needs. When you speak with a member of our tech team, you can choose a fabric that can be sure to insulate and survive in changing or extreme weather conditions. To clean, you could use a chlorine/water solution and flush out the tank thoroughly, again depending upon the fabric.
