rain water storage tanks

Rain Water Storage Tanks are an economical and environmentally friendly solution for rain water collection. The Collapsible Rain Water Tank can be stored in out of site areas such as crawl spaces, under porch or deck areas, or utility sheds. This helps to provide you with the rainwater storage you require, without taking up unnecessary floor space.

Rainwater Pillow Tank Information

The collapsible tank for rainwater collection is one of many in our flexible tank collection. These tanks are constructed with first rate materials and typically contain an NSF 61 and FDA approval for the safe containment of potable water. Rainwater collection tanks have often been connected to sprinkler systems, water utilities, and even fire suppression systems.

As with all our flexible tanks, these units are built from high quality materials that can handle various site climates, fittings, and elements. Tanks are constructed in capacities from 1 to 210,000 gallons, providing you with a tank that can match your site requirements.

Technical Specifications

Fabric: Fabric used for these tanks are typically made with NSF 61 and FDA approved materials. This helps to provide a safe storage location in the event that you will be using these tanks for potable water. Materials used for these tanks include polyurethane, polymer alloy and E PVC coated fabric.

Contact Time: The contact time for your specific tank can range depending on the material used for your tank. Contact times can vary between 1 and 7 years. It should be noted, however, that the contact times are not an indication of functionally, but rather a point in times where the fabric on your tank may start to change due to weathering or chemical process. This has no bearing on the longevity of a tank.

Fittings: Tanks are typically built with standard fittings that range in size from 3/4 inch through 2 inch (3/4" through 2"). These fittings are made from a wide range of materials including aluminum, stainless steel, or polypropylene and include camlock, storz or threaded fittings to accommodate various hoses.

Optional Fittings

Packaging: The packaging of these units is largely decided based on the intended use and mobility requirements of your tank. We offer a variety of solutions based on your application including carry bags, totes, wooden treated crates, or as specified (additional costs may apply for unique packaging).

To help ensure the longevity and lifespan of your tank, ground cloths, berms, or rub pads can be placed underneath the tank to add additional abrasion resistance and ground protection.
