Question: I am looking for a 50 gallon blivet tank that can hold heated water at about 100 degrees F. Do you have anything like that? I am doing research for a solar powered portable tank for a customer, and I am having trouble finding something that holds only 50 gallons that will be OK at 100 degrees. I see that you have the low temperature listed but not the high temp listed on the specification sheet for your materials.
Answer:Thank you for contacting us! Collapsible Water Bladder, also known as pillow tanks or water blivet tanks, are an excellent choice for this type of storage. We do offer tanks in smaller sizes. These tanks are durable and have been used to store heated water, such as water with a temperature of around 100 F.
We have provided tanks in many fabric options, including ones that meet military specifications.
Water Blivet Tank Fabric Options
In general, we offer several different tank fabrics including those with the following materials:
- Commercial Grade Fabric
- Medium Grade Fabric
- Heavy-Duty Grade Fabric
The commercial grade fabrics are less thick and are rated with a contact time of around 1 year. Medium grade fabrics have a slightly higher thickness and are rated with a contact time of anywhere from 3 to 5 years. Heavy duty fabrics, as their name suggests, are the thickest fabric option and are rated for a contact time of about 7 years.
In addition to material fabric, we also offer several different materials that can store hot water, cold water, operate in different temperatures and handle any liquid from drinking water to fuel. Please let us know exactly what liquid you are trying to store and what temperature, and we can see if we have a tank fabric that can match your application.
